Privacy Policy

This policy covers what Verified Hotel Codes collects, what our advertising partners collect, and how to turn the personalised-advertising part off. Last updated: October 6, 2026.

The short version

Information we collect

We don't operate user accounts. There is no signup form, no login, and no comment system on this site, so we don't hold names, email addresses, or passwords for visitors.

Standard server and network logs. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like essentially every website, requests to it produce routine technical records — IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp — used for serving the site and for security. We don't use these to build profiles of individual visitors.

Analytics. No analytics run on this English version of the site, and none runs on the Chinese version either. Google Analytics 4 is enabled only on the German and French versions, where it is loaded only after you accept the consent bar at the bottom of the page: decline it and neither the analytics script nor any analytics cookie is loaded. Where it is active, Google acts as our processor and sets first-party cookies — _ga (up to two years) and _ga_<container> (13 months) — whose only job is to tell one browser from another. We see aggregated, page-level numbers; we cannot look up what any individual visitor read. Google's own handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy and the Google Analytics terms.

Advertising, cookies, and third parties

This site displays third-party advertisements. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to serve ads based on your interests.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general adult audience — specifically people looking up corporate travel rates. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Links to other sites

Pages here link out to hotel booking sites and other external pages. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their privacy practices. Check the policy on any site you land on.

Some of those links are affiliate links. If you click one and then book or buy something on the partner's site, that partner may pay us a commission. That payment comes out of the partner's pocket, not yours, and it does not decide what gets listed here: codes are taken from independent listings and each one carries the date it was last checked. Booking partners may also set their own cookies when you land on their site, which is governed by their privacy policy, not this one.

Your choices

You do not have to accept advertising cookies to read this site. Blocking them, or using a browser that blocks third-party cookies by default, changes nothing about what you can read here — every code on every page is visible without them.

Analytics consent. On the German and French versions, the bar at the bottom of the page is the switch for Google Analytics. Decline it and nothing is loaded — the site behaves exactly the same. There is no other control for analytics, so to change your answer later, clear this site's stored data in your browser and the bar will appear again.

If you want the personalised-advertising part switched off specifically, the opt-outs listed above are the fastest route, and they apply across sites rather than just this one. If you want to know what we hold about you, the answer is nothing beyond an email thread if you have written to us: write again and we will confirm what is there and delete it.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts collecting something it doesn't collect today, this page gets updated before that change goes live. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

Questions

Questions about this policy or about what this site does with data can be sent to the contact address listed on the site's contact page.

What this site sets itself

Nothing, on this version. This English version runs no analytics and keeps no record of its own — no account system, no comment system, no newsletter, and no first-party identifier of ours to attach to a visit. The German and French versions ask about analytics with a consent bar and store your answer in your own browser's local storage under the key ga-consent-v1; that entry is not a cookie, is never sent to us, and exists only so that you are not asked twice.

Any cookies you find in your browser after visiting were set by third parties loading alongside the page — an advertising partner, and Cloudflare, which serves the site and needs to distinguish real traffic from abuse. On the German and French versions, and only there, Google Analytics sets its cookies too, if you accepted the consent bar. We do not have access to the individual-level data those parties collect, and we cannot look up what any particular visitor was shown.

What we can see, in aggregate and only from visitors on the German or French version who accepted the consent bar, is which pages are read and roughly how many times. That is a page-level count, not a person-level record.

If you email us

Email is the only channel this site monitors. If you write to the address on the contact page, this is what happens to it:

One thing to watch for. We will never ask you for a password, a payment detail, or a document proving who you are. A message claiming to come from this site that does any of those things is not from us.
