Eight mornings of the same Hilton search
Between 2 and 23 October 2026 we ran one hotel corporate code search eight times in a signed-in Chrome, from the same network, and recorded every domain in the top ten. This page is the raw record: the table, the two experiments, and what did not change.
How the captures were made
Every run used the same signed-in Chrome profile on the same machine, over the same residential connection, with the same query, the same interface language and the same result count. The results page was saved and parsed by a script rather than read by eye, so a domain that appears in two places or an answer block that pushes a result down is recorded as it rendered, not as it is remembered.
What this cannot tell you. Eight runs on one network is not a population sample. Personalisation, location and account history are held constant here, which makes the change over time readable but does not license a claim about what other people see. A position recorded on one date is that date’s rendering for this account, nothing more.

What moved, and what did not
- milepro.com never moved. First place on all eight dates, twenty-two days apart at the extremes. Whatever the ranking is being decided by, it was not affected by anything that changed in that window.
- Four domains left and did not come back. goingawesomeplaces.com went 8, 7, 10 and then out; scribd.com went 9, 9, out, 8 and then out for good; corporatecode.org went 10, 10 and out; siemens.com held 3 and 3, fell to 8, 9, 10, 10, and is now absent. Three of the four were still ranking inside the ten on 13 October.
- Two domains entered and stayed. hoteldig.com was absent on 2 and 3 October and has been inside the ten from 13 October onwards, twice at seventh. corporate-codes.com was absent on 2, 3 and 13 October, arrived at eighth on 14 October, held eighth on 17, 19 and 21 October, and slipped to tenth on 23 October. Both are still inside the ten.
- Two climbed and then held. aeropenguin.com ran 4, 4, 6, 5 and then settled at third for four consecutive dates. facebook.com ran 6, 6, 9, 10 and then settled at seventh for four consecutive dates. Both moves happened inside the first four runs and neither has been reversed.
- The brand itself never reaches the top three. hilton.com oscillated between fourth and eighth across the eight dates. On a query that names the brand, the brand’s own domain was never the first three results.
- reddit.com was in every run, between second and third, and is the only non-commercial domain that never left.
Changing one word: codes, code, code list, codes list
On 19 October, in one morning, the same query was run four times with only the final word changed. The head noun moved between plural and singular, and the word list was added and removed.
| Domain | codes | code | code list | codes list |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| milepro.com | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| reddit.com — r/Hilton “Corporate Code: Info” | 2 | 2 | 3 | 3 |
| aeropenguin.com | 3 | 3 | 6 | 4 |
| github.com | 4 | 5 | 7 | 5 |
| hilton.com — Hilton Honors rates and discounts | 5 | 4 | 8 | 8 |
| facebook.com — Corporate Codes for Hilton Hotels | 7 | 8 | 5 | 7 |
| hoteldig.com | 8 | 7 | 4 | 6 |
| corporate-codes.com | 10 | — | — | — |
| siemens.com | — | 9 | — | — |
| scribd.com — Corporate Hotel Codes Overview 2025 (PDF) | — | — | 10 | 10 |
| Google’s own answer blocks, at | 2, 6, 9 | 2, 6 | 2, 3, 9 | 2, 3, 9 |
| Web results filling the ten slots | 7 | 7 | 7 | 7 |
- Only seven web results fill the ten slots, in all four runs. Google’s own answer blocks take the rest — three blocks in the codes, code list and codes list runs, two in the code run. Anyone counting “the top ten” as ten websites is counting three things that are not websites.
- Plural to singular swaps three positions. Between the codes and code runs, github.com goes 4 to 5, hilton.com 5 to 4, hoteldig.com 8 to 7, facebook.com 7 to 8, corporate-codes.com drops out and siemens.com comes in at ninth. Two domains changed places with each other and two left or entered.
- The word list pulls a PDF up and pushes two domains out. Adding list brings scribd.com’s “Corporate Hotel Codes Overview” PDF to tenth in both list runs, and removes corporate-codes.com and siemens.com in both. The query asked for a list and got a document.
- milepro.com is first in all four. The domain that wins this query wins it regardless of which form of the noun is typed.
hoteldig.com ranks ninth and cannot be read
hoteldig.com appears in six of the eight runs, twice at seventh, and it is one of the listings behind the code tables on this site. It also cannot be read. Direct requests from our network have returned HTTP 403 on every attempt. Opening it in a signed-in browser gives the front page of a Chinese-language travel blog with no Hilton list on it.
That is worth stating plainly because it is easy to conflate two different things: a domain that appears in a ranking, and a domain that is a source. This one is reliably the former and, from where we sit, not verifiably the latter. Nothing from it enters the verified tables on this site.
